Our Story - Keeping Steph's Dream Alive

In 2004, my dear friend Stephanie Smith was battling cancer. After months of chemotherapy, she went into remission—but her passion for English football, especially Manchester United, never wavered.

When I discovered she’d never seen her team play live, friends, coworkers, and a generous fan helped make it happen. We flew to England for a once-in-a-lifetime trip to Old Trafford, roaring crowds, the pre-match pub buzz. Steph came home radiant, saying it was “one of the best experiences of my life.”

Less than a year later, her cancer returned. Before she passed, her final wish was to have her ashes scattered at Old Trafford—a wish the club graciously helped us fulfill.

That joy and gratitude stayed with me. For Steph’s Sake was born to keep that spirit alive—by giving one deserving football fan each year the same gift Stephanie once received: a dream trip to England to see Liverpool FC play, and in future we will add additional teams.
